Saranpal Singh is the Assistant R&D Manager in the Lifecare & Healthcare division, driving innovation across diagnostic and biotech projects. With a strong foundation in molecular biology and a passion for translational science, he leads initiatives in rapid diagnostics, organoid organoid-based drug testing platform, and ctDNA-based cancer detection. Saranpal is also actively involved in PoC studies using engineered enzymes. Known for his collaborative spirit and leadership, he mentors junior scientists while ensuring safety standards as part of the bio lab in Mitsui Chemicals Group in Singapore. With a vision to help Mitsui Chemicals Group become a leader in healthcare, he blends science and strategy seamlessly. Outside the lab, Saranpal enjoys high-energy body combat workouts and thrives in environments that challenge and inspire innovation.

Kim Hou (Terick) is currently a Technical Specialist at Sino Biological, based in London. He received his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from NAIST in 2017, after which he conducted postdoctoral research at the UCL Cancer Institute. His experience spans both academic research and the biotech industry, with a focus on supporting scientific discovery through high-quality reagents and technical expertise. As a member of the MNAA Membership & Outreach Team, Terick is enthusiastic about building a vibrant alumni network and contributing to initiatives that promote collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth.

Dr. Silvester is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sabah. He earned his Ph.D. in biological sciences from NAIST in 2023, an M.S. in molecular medicine from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a B.S. in resource biotechnology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak. Before his current role, he served as a research fellow at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His expertise spans stem cell biology, organoid technology, gastric tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. As part of the MNAA Membership & Recruitment Team, Dr. Silvester contributes valuable academic insights and plays a significant role in advancing biological and medical sciences research.

Norshima Abu Hasan is currently working as a researcher in a Japanese company based in Tokyo. She received her PhD in Biological Science in 2024. As a member of the MNAA Membership, Outreach & Recruitment team, she is committed to engaging with alumni to disseminate information about the newly established alumni network, with the aim of fostering a strong community that supports professional development and networking opportunities.

Tan Hui Yee is currently a Research Fellow at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore. She received her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from NAIST in 2024.
