About Us
The Malaysian NAIST Alumni Association (MNAA) is a professional and collaborative platform that brings together alumni of the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, who are originally from Malaysia. Founded with the shared purpose of fostering long-term engagement, MNAA serves as a bridge between Malaysia and NAIST, aiming to strengthen ties in education, research, and innovation across borders.
MNAA celebrates the diverse paths its members have taken after their time at NAIST and strives to connect them through networking, professional development, and national contribution. It is a community committed to nurturing excellence, building partnerships, and advancing science and technology for a better Malaysia and a more interconnected world.

The Logo
Our official logo is a unifying symbol representing the diverse strengths of NAIST graduates in Malaysia. Every element in the logo is designed with purpose and significance:
NAIST Official Logo – Reflects our institutional roots in the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan.
NAIST Tricolor (Red, Green, Blue) represents the three main domains of NAIST:Red: Information Science
Green: Biological Sciences
Blue: Materials Science
These colors symbolize our members’ multidisciplinary expertise.
Prunus serrulata (Sakura – Cherry Blossom), the iconic Japanese flower, symbolizes the origins of the NAIST institution and represents the spirit of togetherness, cherished memories, and the noble values shared among its alumni.
